I’m sure there is a technical name for this treat, but I don’t know it and – quite frankly – I think mine is genius.  Rolo-vers it is.

This is such a easy and delicious treat.  I recommend it to anyone in a pinch for some holiday treats, simple party favor or even an activity with the kiddies over vacation week!  They’re inexpensive (yay), mess-free (yay!), plentiful (probably the wrong word to use here but Yay!), and delicious (YAY!).

The ingredients:  Rolos, Snyders Pretzel Snaps, and M&Ms.

The holiday M&Ms are great if you’re going to make them for the holidays, but don’t feel like these are only winter treats!  They’re just as tasty year round with any color M&Ms.

Start by preheating the oven.  I usually turn it to the ever faithful 350 degrees.  Lay out your pretzels with one Rolo on top of each.  (Hint:  I always line my baking pans with tin foil for minimal clean up, but it’s especially nice here in case you have some chocolate overflow.)

Then pop them in the oven for a few minutes.  I’d say 3-4 minutes is ideal (and less is definitely more here).  You can open the oven and press down on one to see if they’re ready to smoosh, but be careful!  They will be hot.  If you want to save your finger, you can usually tell they’re ready when they look like they’re just starting to melt.  But again – don’t overcook them.  You just want them to be soft.

Once they’re out, plop an M&M onto the top of each and press down.

Press just enough to smoosh the Rolo, but not too much to make it ooze over the pretzel.

If you’re making more than one pan of these, I would recommend doing one pan at a time, as the Rolos will harden if out too long and you won’t be able to push the M&Ms into them.

Then just leave them out (or if you want to speed up the process, stick them in the fridge or on the porch).  And that’s it!

Drop them in a bowl.  Put them in a baggie.  Pop them in your mouth.  Whatever’s clever, my friends.  All I have to say is you can’t go wrong.  People love them.  And if you know someone who doesn’t like caramel – switch out the Rolos for kisses or hugs!

    My Mom and Grandma like to use a walnut or pecan to press down the rolo instead of an m & m. unfortunately, this version is not Kev-friendly…

      also would it be “a m&m” or “an m&m”… see it sounds like “em and em” i hate english.

        Unfortunately, no sweets are Kev-friendly, as he’s anti-sugar. (Clearly I love it enough for the both of us.) And Clarice actually made the pecan version last night, too! I will include that in an update!
