Well looky-loo. It’s been over a week since my last post, which is bad news. But the good news is that it hasn’t been over two weeks. And the best news is that I am happily sharing a victorious recipe with you on the heels of my scrumptious-but-ugly apple spice cake adventure.
Apple bread. It’s as simple as it sounds. As inexpensive as it sounds. And way more interesting for your taste buds than its name implies. Why, I think it calls for a rename. I vote: the-batter-tastes-like-cake-so-how-can-you-possibly-go-wrong-making-this-amazing-apple-bread. I’m also open to suggestions.
I know. She’s a beaut. I baked 6 mini loaves (which are easy to freeze or gift) and one big loaf that I gifted to my parents. (Mom, feel free to comment positively on the delectability of the bread.) The bread is somehow crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside, so don’t be deterred if you think something’s gone wrong and you overcooked the outside. You haven’t. Unless you burned it. Then you have.
You can find the recipe on food.com. And if you’re baking mini loaves – mine were perfect after 35 minutes. Yum yum!
